Working in analogue photography, my accumulating archive of photographs operate as gentle observations of everyday life, as I seek to expose both the stillness and chaos in how we inhabit the contemporary world. By casting our attention to things through the richness and weightlessness of colour and light, I make images which encourage the viewer to look more slowly and intimately at the world around us. Photographs are printed by hand in the darkroom through a slow and considered approach, with the final intention to share with the viewer a particular feeling, experience or world-view.
